Scott Freeburn - Scott is our resident creative drill designer and inspirational coach. He runs the women's volleyball program at Claremont School and is the head coach of the Jr Girls championship squad. He is a certified level coach and high school teacher. Coached BC Summer Games 15U, coached club volleyball with Iron Maidens, Titans and VVA.
Mingo Miguel - He has played competitively all over the world for Canada on the Beach on the FIVB Tour Player, All star player for the University of York, BC All star with the Camosun College Chargers, Claremont Grad and High School Volleyball All Star, National Men’s Beach Doubles Champion. Saanich Firefighter.
Megan Beckett - Megan has been an avid Big Dig player attending seven years of our camps over her middle and high school career. She played as a starter with the College of the Rockies and previous to that played for Camosun College and was “Rookie of the Year” and named to the BC All-Rookie Team. We are pleased to have Megan join us on the Big Dig team as one of our Jr. Coaches. Linguistics Student

Chelsea Reimer - Camosun Charger, National Scholar Athlete Award, Assistant Coach Claremont Jr. and Sr. Boys Volleyball teams, VVA club coach, Coach PCS grade 8 and Jr. Girls (2 years), PCS grad. Medical Student
Josh Howatson - Setters for Men’s National Team. Josh has played professionally all over the world – most recently with Paris Volley in France. He is a Trinity Western University grad (National Champs 06) and was the Canadian University Player of the Year (07).
Drew Venables - coaching resume includes head coach positions with Volleyball BC U-19 men’s program and assistant coach positions with Thompson Rivers University, Vancouver Island University and Capilano University. NCCP level 3 (in progress), was a past National Team member, past European Professional player, and currently is one of the head instructors at the Volleyball Canada Center of Excellence in North Vancouver. Drew made the trek from Kamloops to attend Big Dig Camps when he was a student!
Freddie Winters - Claremont alumni and High School Volleyball All Star, Olympian 2016, formerly the starting outside hitter and Captain of Team Canada and has been on the team since 2003 ( - 2019). Pepperdine University, Played professionally in China, Italy, France, Austria, Korea, and Russia. Retired Professional Volleyball Player.
